Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson was born July 7 in 1968. She is an American actor best known for her roles on Blue Bloods as Linda Reagan, Alex Taylor, and Josie Watts on the NBC soap show Another World.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois [[DuPage County Illinois which is near Chicago. She was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), schoolteachers. She is of Swedish descent and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: Early career and college



 She was introduced to Hollywood by working as a background actor for the film Lucas featuring Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim and Winona Ryder. Later she followed her older sister Betsy to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
